Laminate Flooring Care and Cleaning
Laminate flooring was made for wear and tear of families. Laminate Flooring requires virtually no maintenance and cleaning up spills couldn’t be easier. Caring for laminate flooring is much less time consuming and labor intensive compared to other flooring types because of the material you are working with. Cleaning is usually a breeze and generally does not require the expensive cleaning products to get the job done.
Here are some points to keep in mind to ensure your laminate floor stays in top condition for years to come:
* For major cleaning jobs, mop with ammonia or a mixture of vinegar and water.
* Don’t use conventional soap-based cleaners. If possible, look for citrus-based cleaners.
* Never use scouring powder, steel wool or wax strippers on a laminate floor.
* Never wax, sand or apply lacquer to a laminate floor surface.
* If you’re unsure of using any product on your laminate floor, test it in an inconspicuous area first – such as underneath your stove or fridge.

Hi, I have Traffic Master Savannah Oak in our kitchen and LOVE IT! Remodeling and now would like to "carry" it into the den which adjoins our kitchen. Is there a place to get more of the Savannah Oak, or any suggestions of how to blend a similar color in?
What type of office chair mat is best on laminate flooring? I've seen the clear plastic, carpet and wood ones.
I recently installed traffic master brazilion cherry in my house, about 8 months ago. When I took up throw rugs, moved furniture ect, the floor was much lighter wgere it had been covered. WE are putting our home on the market in 18 months and I am really concerned w/ these lighter areas,If I were looking at this floor I would certainly not buy it because of the floor.
Is there any thing we can do?, Is this warranted?
Hi, I know you can use vinegar or ammonia with water. Don't use swiffer too much soap. Nail polish remover
can help with the really bad black marks, BUT USE A TENNIS BALL TO BUFF OUT THE DOGGY NAIL MARKS! you need some elbow
grease into it. Your floor may look badly because you've used soap based cleaners - use the vinegar or ammonia with water
a couple times over to remove the film - it is probably attracting the dirt. good luck!
